THE UNtold SPEECH of BBTF 13 Camp Director

Good evening guys.
How to start my speech. Maybe a recent
trivia would do?
Did you know that the CEO of Apple company
has just resigned? Yes, the owner and the mind behind the amazing world-class computers
and MAC gadgets resigned last Wednesday. And he wrote a very good resignation
letter which you can google. Very short, simple, and honest.
Tonight, I have the same confession to tell
you-I will not be directly handling Brevstock 12 and bigtent 13. Thus, demoting
myself to become the assistant to the leadership of our Junior brev leaders. Of
course this is with the blessing of our formator, kuya Alex. We all know that
it’s hard to say NO to BroA.
Steve Jobs wrote in his resignation letter:
"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet
my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you
know. Unfortunately, that day has come,"
On the same note, I have to be honest to
you guys that unfortunately, that day has come: that I don’t have the luxury of
time, that my job demands too much even if deep in my heart I really wanted to
say YES. Reality check: I had my turn and it is but right to give it to someone
else deserving of the role.
Our VP for SM Supermalls Marketing, Ms. Ma
Cristina Adriano said: If you’re really a good leader, the Mall or your
Department should run even without you. Because it just means that you have
delegated the role effectively to your subordinates or team.
Don’t worry guys, I didn’t really say NO.
You see, I would still be doing what Im best at-connecting people. It’s the kind of leadership I want to express
and I’m proud to be part of their team leadership. I hope you guys will support
the four of us: So shall I introduce them now?

I am regularly meeting with these lovely
ladies. As well as they will also be responsible to giving you guys an update
of what’s next for BREVSTOCK 12 AND BIGTENT 13.
That’s it for now.
I am looking forward to get a chance to personally
hear from you in our monthly dinner together. Every month, we will have a sit-in
brev to join the WOJTYLA Brevs get together.

This speech was supposedly for the Red
Carpet Night- the official turnover of Brevstock 12 and Bigtent 13. But when I got to the venue, I was
overwhelmed with the presence of new faces and burning fire from the blossoming
new brev members. I thought that my speech might be out of
place and that I might sound out of context during that night. Anyhow, let this be my way of saying thanks to
you all, special gratitude to the outstanding leadership of Mary Grace Ann
Soriano-Maigue,Lally Mae-Dulatre, Lynelle Dacumos, and Leonard Guinguino.
